Zico Coconut Water

zico coconut water review

I was invited to InStyle Magazine’s #SummerSocial blogger event.  39 weeks (and 3 days, but who’s counting?!) pregnant…who doesn’t need a little pampering at that point in pregnancy?  The event was so fun – lots of vendors showcasing their products and plenty of food and drink.  My favorite was Zico‘s pineapple-flavored coconut water cocktail — you may have seen the photo on Instagram.  This drink was perfect for a mama to be…virgin, cold, light and incredibly refreshing.  The summer heat really takes a toll on you, and this piña colada-like drink totally hit the spot and really fits with their recent #cracklifeopen campaign.

If you aren’t familiar with Zico coconut water, it’s sourced from Thailand, Indonesia, and the Philippines, where suppliers source coconuts from hundreds of local farmers and work directly with coconut plantations – many that have been in families for generations.

Did you know:

  • Coconut water has zero fat and zero cholesterol and is gluten free
  • All Zico products have 5 electrolytes (potassium, magnesium, sodium, calcium, phosphorus) and as much potassium as a banana
  • Zico recently launched a line of Zico Chilled Juices, which combine chilled premium coconut water with mouthwatering fruit juices in exciting flavors like Orange and Pineapple Mango
  • Their newest coconut water flavors include Chocolate, Pineapple and Watermelon Raspberry

You can visit their site here and follow their social channels for updates and product discounts.  YES!

Have you ever tried coconut water?  I’d love to hear how you enjoy it: in a smoothie, straight up, as a mixer? Do tell!
