Mother’s Day Brunch Ideas

This Sunday is Mother’s Day! We will be celebrating with my mother and my mother-in-law in New York City.  It’s my first as a soon-to-be mama, and I wanted to share a few Mother’s Day Brunch Ideas with you!

Brunch is a simple meal to host for friends and family because there are so few time pressures and the menu is wide open! I like to serve a combination of breakfast and lunch dishes – usually eggs in some form, sweet baked goods, savory bites, a good cheese plate, a bright salad and of course, a cocktail!

With the weather warming up in New York City, I opted for Banfi’s Rosa Regale which is a sweet and effervescent rosè.  It matched perfectly with our spring menu. Amazingly, Banfi holds a special place in our hearts.  I spent my junior year of college studying abroad in Rome and when my family came to visit, we traveled all over the country – including to the vineyards of Tuscany.  We visited the famed Montalcino and sampled many of the incredible wines including the show stopping Brunellos.  It was such a great trip! I was sad to see them go.  But now, with Banfi so easily available in the states, we can relive our time together over brunch!
